Trish Rossiene Biography

By: Brook Bradbury and Trish Rossiene

A born and raised New Yorker, Trish Rossiene began her career long before Craft Cocktail bartending became a popular movement. “I’ve worked at every type of bar in NYC and have seen the culture change time and time again,” says Trish of her experience in the industry. A creative talent that cut her teeth by pulling draft beers and mixing fruity cocktails, Trish innovated her way up to become one of America’s top bartenders.

This petite “cocktail muse” credits her eclectic background as inspiration in her job. Trish has coordinated fashion shows, art gallery openings, large fund raisers and even dabbled in voice over work for children’s cartoons. She has studied working for the UN and other international non profits and volunteered to assist refugees and victims of child warfare in Darfur and Burma whilst living abroad. But her passion has always lead her back behind the bar. “I really like taking care of people and I think that’s why I’ve always come back to this industry. It’s always going to have a place in my heart regardless of where life takes me.”

As a result, Trish has grown from working in nightclubs and lounges to becoming versed in wine and classic cocktails at Anthony Bourdain’s Les Halles Brasserie, excelling in molecular mixology at Sean Hergatt’s JUNI, and mastering hospitality at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. As an active member of the US Bartending Guild, she’s traveled the world on educational tours promoting the trade and teaching others the art of craft cocktail creation. Last year, she assisted in the opening of Kimpton's first International Endeavor: a boutique luxury resort in Grand Cayman Island, bringing New York City style cocktail culture to the Caribbean.

Earlier this summer Trish participated in the prestigious "Cocktail Apprentice Program" run by Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, the largest cocktail conference in the world. She now resides once again in New York, making waves by contributing to the open of Soho House's newest location in DUMBO as well as a brand new craft Circa Brewing Co. in Downtown Brooklyn. She opened a project in TriBeCa at Monk McGinn's where she was  the Beverage Director over a team of heavyweight mixologists from all over the globe. All of this experience contributed to the creation of a bartender collective: International Cocktail Consultants, which will be used in the coming year to create drinks programs and trainings all over the world.
